Manaslu trek offers a perfect combination of rich culture heritage, incomparable Himalayan beauty, and a rich mountain biological diversity. Larkya La Pass is a challenging pass from where you can see excellent views.

The trek starts after driving 7/8 hours driving from Kathmandu to Arughat or Arkhet. The trek ascends to follow Buri Gandaki River to Larkya La Pass 5160m with attractive views of Himalchuli (7893m.), Manaslu 8163m, Ganesh Himal, NgadiChuli (7879m.) or (peak 29) and other mountains, beautiful varied landscape and different flora and fauna. The trek has all the elements of other treks in Nepal including Hindu and Buddhist culture, protected wildlife, rhododendrons and wild flowers, raging rivers, precarious bridges and stunning mountain scenery which is a true adventure for visitors. Here you will find the mountains and valleys covered with diverse and pristine eco-systems. Fantastic Mountain views and rich culture make it even more memorable. This trekking area is known as part of real insight of Nepalese life style and their way of living. These days it is becoming a bigger attraction for the trekkers. Manaslu Trek is a fully tea house supported trek. Nowadays, you can also stay from Lodge to Lodge .Tea house trek is comparatively lower cost so that it is affordable to most of you. Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Trivuwan International airport in Kathmandu,
Day 02: Manaslu Restricted area Permit .
Day 03: Kathmandu- Arkhet Bazaar (620m, 8-9 Hours driving).
Day 04: Arkhet Bazaar – Machha Khola (869m, 6-7 hrs) .
Day 05: Machha Khola – Jagat (1340m, 6-7hrs) .
Day 06: Jagat – Deng (1860m, 6-7hrs) .
Day 07: Deng – Namrung (2630m, 6-7hrs).
Day 08: Namrung –Samagaon (3520m, 4 hrs).
Day 09: Acclimatization day.
Day 10: Samagaon - Samdo (3875m. 3hrs).
Day 11: Samdo - Dharamashala (4460m, 4-5 hours walking).
Day 12: Dharmashala -Cross over Larkya La Pass (5160m) - Bimthang (3890 m,7-8 hours).
Day 13: Bimthang – Gho (3010m, 5-6 hrs).
Day 14: Gho–Dharapani (2 hrs walking) Dharapani- Besishahar (830m, 5/6hrs driving).
Day 15: Besishahar to Kathmandu .
Day 16: Departure to your Home.

    Day 01: Arriving in Kathmandu (1350m).
    Arriving in Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) you will meet with our representative then transfer to hotel by private vehicles then stay at the Hotel and free activities in the evening.

    Day 02: Manaslu Restricted area trekking permit preparation and briefing of Trek.
    We need your original passport with Nepal’s Visa to prepare Upper Mustang restricted area permit. After preparing your permit, you will introduce with your guide. Your guide will brief details of this trek.

    Day 03: Kathmandu-Arkhet Bazaar (620m, 8-9 Hours driving)and overnight at Lodge.
    This day you drive to Arkhet Bazaar. During our drive to Arughat, You pass Trisuli River (famous for rafting), Akhu River (from Ganesh himal) and Arughat Bazaar.The road is nice until Dhading Bensi after that there is gravel road.

    Day 04: Arkhet Bazaar- Machha Khola (869m, 6-7 hrs) overnight at Lodge.
    Trek to Machha Khola is easy and nice walking. We pass the rice and millet terraces. During our walking we see the view of Sring Himal.

    Day 05: Machha Khola–Jagat (1340m, 6-7 hrs) overnight at Lodge.
    During our trek we see many local Villages and gurung life style. The trail is up and down hill. During our trek, we also pass this day Tatopani (Natural Hot spring). After the hot spring the trail climbs over another ridge, and then crosses the Buri Gandaki on a suspension bridge to reach Dovan. From Dovan, The route climbs on a rugged, rocky trail to Yarukhola. After we cross to the west bank of the BuriGandaki and continue along the river to nice village of Jagat (Conservation and Restricted entry point).

    Day 06: Jagat–Deng (1800m, 6-7hrs) and overnight at Lodge.
    This day, the trail enters a region of Tibetan influence, marked by the mani walls – even so, the the people are still Gurung. Cross the bridge and climb up to Philim. We follow a  beautiful walking trail surrounded by water falls and pine trees. This day, we split the trail to Tsum Valley trail near from EkleBhatti. We cross the bridge of Buri Gandaki many times before the PewaKhola and we walk through the Bamboo forest to Deng.

    Day 07: Deng–Namrung (2630m, 6-7hrs)and overnightat Lodge.
    This day, we start going downhill to the River to cross the Buri Gandaki. We climb up to Ranagaon. It is a culturally interesting village. After walking little bit you can see the Bihi village. After a while, there are two trails. One goes through Prok. The Prok has several Gompas. We have to cross Buri Gandaki Bridge to go to Prok. The other trail goes straight to Ghap. We have cross the Sringi Khola Bridge and then continue to Ghapsya. From Ghapsya, we walk through the jungle. When we are close to Namrung village the trail is steep up. As soon as we reach in Namrung village we can see view of Himal Chulli and others small mountains.

    Day 08: Lho – Samagaon (3517m, 6-7 hrs) and overnight at Lodge.
    Now we enter in upper side of Manaslu where the dialect changes to a form of Tibetan and most people dress in chubas, the Tibetan –style wraparound cloak. Lhogaon is nice village from where you can see a good view of Manaslu. From Lho, we drop down to the Damonan Khola, crossing bridge and then ascend to Syalagoan. It is nice, old village. We can see the nice view of Himalchuli (7893m.), NgadiChuli (7879m.) and the Manaslu (8163m.). Local people call Manaslu as Ghanpurge. When we cross the Thosang Khola then we descend to Samagaon. It is a big town in this area. In the afternoon we can walk around Kargyuchholing Gompa and the village.

    Day 09: Acclimatization day and overnight at Lodge.
    You have different choices this day.

    • Birendratal (1 hours hiking).
    • PungyenGompa (3-4 hours).
    • Manaslu Base camp (full day hiking).
    • Walk around the village.
    Day 10: Trek - Sando (3800m. 3hrs) and O/N at Lodge.
    Today, we cross wooden bridge over a side stream. The trail to the left leads to Manaslu Base camp. Another trail is for Larke La. The Larya La trail passes several mani walls as the valley begins to widen. It is an easy trail on shelf above the river past juniper and birch forests. In the afternoon, you may hiking up pass to prayer flags or Samdo Peak for the fine views of Manaslu.

    Day 11: Trek -Dharamashala (4480) 4-5 hours walking and overnight at Lodge.
    We descend to the river gently which is now very small and narrow, and cross it on a wooden bridge. Iron pole marks the trail climb to Dharmashala. The right trail goes to the Tibet border. We are not taking this trail. The trail becomes hard at the beginning but later on it becomes easier to Dharmasala.

    Day 12: Larkya La Pass (5160m) and then trek down to Bhimtang (3590 m,7-8 hours) andovernight at Lodge.
    Today is one of the hardest and longest days in this trek. We start our trek in the morning. The trail is not very steep but it is high so we do not feel comfortable to walk here. It takes about 4-5 hours to get top of Larkya La pass. During our trek, we see many mountain views of Himlung Himal (7126m.), Cheo Himal (6820m.), Gyaji Kung (7030m.), Kang guru (6981m.) and the Annapruna II (7937m.). We also see the many small lakes. The downhill trail is very steep. If there is ice, it will be very difficult to get down. It is better if you have crampon and ice axe.

    Day 13: Bimthang –Gho (2515m, 6 hrs) and overnight at Lodge.
    It is the best place to see wonderful mountains view of Himlung Himal (7126m.), Cheo Himal (6820m.), Gyaji Kung (7030m.), Kang guru (6981m.), Annapurna II (7937m.) and others peaks around us in the morning. The trail from Bimtang to Gho is downhill. We walk through the jungle but still we can see the view of Mt. Manaslu and other mountains. This part of our trek can be very interesting: if you are lucky you might see wild animal Longur (Monkey) and others. The Dudh Khola marks our path most of the way.

    Day 14: Gho–Dharapani- Besishahar (830m, 6-7hrs) and overnight at Lodge.
    It is way down to Besishahar. Now most of the trail goes downhill. But we still can see the view of the Manaslu ranges. It is about 2 hours walking until we get to Dharapani. From Dharapani, we enter in the Annapurna region. We see many tourists on this part.  From Dharapani we will drive back to Besishahar by public jeep aroud 5 hours.

    Day 15: Besishahar (830m) - Kathmandu (1350m).
    This morning, you will have breakfast at your Hotel, then drive to Kathmandu. At 7:30am in the morning drive back to Kathmandu 6-7 hours, and then stay overnight at Hotel.

    Day16: Departure to International Airport.
    We will provide you free transportation to your home or other destination.
